Cambridge News Person of the Year 2018

Cambridge woman Linda Roil has a heart for children, and it is her work for kids in care that has seen her named the first-ever Cambridge News Person of the Year. This year, Linda has started a community initiative which makes up packs of clothes and toys to give to Waikato kids who come into care, often arriving with the clothes on their backs and little else. ASB Good As Gold Award

In December 2017, Linda was awarded with the ASB Good As Gold Award. This is award is given to Kiwis that are making a difference in their communities. Linda devotes her life to foster children in the Waikato, from fostering babies as young as 3 hours old, to making up care packs for every child in the region being fostered. Watch the video here...
