FEBRUARY UPDATE
February was incredibly busy, with 179 winter care packs made, multiple events, making new connections and lots of planning. We have welcomed 2 new part-time staff to our team and we are in the process of welcoming a number of new volunteers.
We would like to thank each and every one of our supporters who donate goods and finances to KIN. We have a growing group of supporters who choose to give monthly - this enables KIN to provide care packs, access to extracurricular activities, school holiday programmes or camps to the tamariki we support. If this option interests you - visit our Make a Difference page.
EVENTS
KIN was delighted to welcome guests from the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce to our beautiful Chapel venue at KIN HQ for a special event honouring Kevin and Jane Burgess for their service to business. Over 40 people attended and were given a personal tour around the premises. Kevin and Jane continue to be great supporters of KIN and we are grateful for the opportunity to shed a light on how our local Cambridge charity is making a difference in the Waikato.
Yankee Haulers put on another amazing Morrinsville Motorama event. Linda was able to head along on Sunday 11th February and had a great day chatting with the public. We are so grateful to be supported by Yankee Haulers again this year.
We love networking with other charities and like-minded people and a few of the KIN team attended a fundraiser dinner for Huggable Hearts at Smith & McKenzie Steak House. Huggable Hearts provide a truly unique and meaningful service for families who have lost a baby.
STAND TU MAIA VISIT
Some of the KIN team visited Stand Tū Māia and The Children's Village in Rotorua. We spent the morning hearing from their amazing staff and touring their premises.
Stand Tū Māia provides support to some of the most vulnerable tamariki in New Zealand. We are grateful they took the time to share their incredible mahi with us - we all learned so much and look forward to continuing to work together.

SPECIAL FEEDBACK
"Recently we received packs for our grandchildren, we are absolutely overwhelmed by all of this and so very grateful. Their faces said it all. R squeezed his bag tight and cried and T was jumping all over the place with excitement. We told them that all of these lovely gifts they got in their bags had come from people who care about children" Grandparent
