MARCH UPDATE
Thanks to the amazing support from our community, our team were able to put together 79 care packs in March.
Kids in Need support over 450 whānau (representing 1170 tamariki and rangatahi) on an ongoing basis in 30 towns around the Waikato. We provide a summer and winter care pack for each child over the year as well as gifts at Christmas. We reach out to whānau on our system one town at a time, and ask for updated sizes and any new information. Our team put together care packs at KIN HQ that are then delivered in our KIN Van or Ute. In addition to this, we also receive referrals all year round from agencies around the Waikato who require emergency care packs.
We are so grateful for our amazing volunteer team, staff, funders and wider community who help make this all possible.
KIDS IN NEED OUT AND ABOUT
We had the opportunity to have stalls at the Children's Day celebration in Garden Place as well as the Cambridge Autumn Festival. Both of these events were a great way to connect with our wider community.
Our key team visited 2 special charities in Auckland - Kindness Collective and Nurturing Families. We have been fortunate to connect with both charities over the last few years and it was fantastic to discuss how they operate and how we can continue working together to support whānau in our respective regions. We are really grateful they made time for our visits.
CELEBRATING OUR TEAM
KIN wouldn't be here without our incredible volunteers and staff, we held a special morning tea to say thank you and spend time together as a team. Thank you to Carrie Eady, one of our wonderful Board members, who provided the delicious treats!

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We really need some cosy items for our tamariki and rangatahi especially dressing gowns, oodies and onesies.

SPECIAL FEEDBACK
“Thank you so much for the pack for our new little lady, it's such a relief to know that we can so easily have a child set up when they arrive in our care”
