Last Monday night (June 22) - Linda was the guest speaker at the meeting of the Matamata Kiwanis Club.
Kiwanis is a service club (much like Rotary or Lions) with groups all over NZ and worldwide. These clubs have provided much help to groups in their local communities and also larger projects on a national and even international basis.
Linda shared a meal with the group of around 40 - which also included visiting members from nearby clubs - Westside (Hamilton), Morrinsville, Te Awamutu and Oceanside (Mt. Maunganui). She then spoke to the group about the origins of Kids in Need Waikato and the help the organisation provides to kids who are being cared for someone other than their biological parent in the Waikato region.
Thanks to the Kiwanis for inviting Linda to speak - if you have a group that is interested in hearing the KIN story - please head to the contact page and get in touch.
Kiwanis are also on the hunt for new members - so to find out more click the links below.
