We support tamariki being raised by someone other than their parents in the Waikato. Requests for Christmas support have now closed. Other places you might be able to get assistance from include your local Salvation Army or Community House.

Gifts will be going to children being raised by someone other than their parents (grandparents, aunties, uncles, siblings or carers) as well as some children who are experiencing significant hardship and have been referred to us by a social service.

If you are stuck for gift ideas, we will have some ideas going up on our Facebook page. You could also pick a Christmas "wish" from Wish Trees around the Waikato. There aren't wishes for every single child, so any new, unwrapped gifts are gratefully accepted.

Some children have specific items they would love for Christmas. Specific wishes can be found at "Wish Trees". You can take a wish, purchase that gift, and drop it off unwrapped under the tree. We then match gifts to the children on our list.

You pick the type of gift you’d like to donate towards, make your donation and then we will purchase a gift on your behalf.

Absolutely! If you’d like a donation receipt for tax purposes, please email admin@kidsinneed.co.nz with your full name and address and we will send that out to you.

Organising all of our Christmas gift donations is a huge job, we’d love all gifts dropped off by Friday 13th December at the latest so our Christmas elves can get to work wrapping and delivering before Christmas.
